  waterfowl from Avalon to Cape May! February is a wonderful time of year 
 to seek out various species of waterfowl\, as lingering winterers are joi
 ned by northbound migrants. We will travel through coastal and inland are
 as of Cape May County to find and enjoy a wide range of species\, includi
 ng scoters\, mergansers\, eiders\, and many other ducks\, plus a great ar
 ray of shorebirds\, cormorants\, grebes. At each stop\, we will take time
  to study various identification clues: plumage\, size & shape\, flight c
 haracteristics\, and behavior to help improve your bird identification sk
 ills. This birding break has something to offer birders of all skill and 
 experience levels.\n\nWe do not set a firm daily schedule in advance\, le
 aving us flexible to maximize birding opportunities\, taking advantage of
  weather conditions\, tides\, and recent bird sightings. We may walk up t
 o 1.5 miles\, over generally level\, sometimes muddy or sandy terrain. So
 me trips involve walks over jetties.\n\nPREREGISTRATION REQUIRED – Ticket
  sales end 24hrs before start of program\n\nCOST: $20 members\, $25 nonme

 ON:\n\nWe bird in all weather. Be sure to check the forecast in advance a
 nd dress in layers appropriate for prevailing weather conditions. The wea
 ther in Cape May can differ considerably from nearby inland areas and may
  be warmer\, colder\, or windier so it’s best to be over prepared. We may
  have to bird in the rain\, so please bring your rain gear.\n\nTRANSPORTA
 TION: Please arrive at the appointed time with a full tank of gas\, as tr
 ansportation to field sites is by private vehicles.  We may walk up to 1.
 5 miles\, over generally level\, sometimes muddy or sandy terrain. Some t
 rips involve walks over jetties.\n\nCANCELLATION: CMBO programs require a
  minimum number of registrants to run\, five days in advance of the start
  of the tour but are seldom cancelled. If we do cancel\, due to lack of p
 articipation\, severe weather\, or unforeseen circumstances\, we notify a
 ll participants in advance\, and all are eligible for a full credit or re
 fund. Participants may cancel without penalty if greater than 30 days in 
 advance. Cancellations 10 to 30 days in advance may be subject to a 25% s
 ervice charge. No refunds or credits for cancellations less than ten days
